Canadian company iseemedia has announced iseepublish, a service that lets magazine and newspaper publishers offer rich media streaming of their publications to mobile devices. With iseepublish, mobile readers can access an entire printed publication – instantly – no matter what file size. This makes it easy for users to get the news quickly – even rich media supported articles can be viewed in seconds without waiting for a download.
On the publisher side, the platform fully automates the process of delivering the publication, eliminating the need to repurpose the material before it can be distributed online.
iseepublish will work on RIM Blackberry devices, Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phones and Smartphones, Symbian Nokia Series 60, 80 and 90 devices and Java Me MIDP2.0 devices.
The press release did not make any mention of any publications that will use the service. I’ll keep an eye open to see if that changes soon!
