A Swedish company called Neonode unveiled its own touchscreen mobile quad-band GSM/GPRS phone, the Neonode N2. Only 77mm (3-inches) tall and weighing 70 grams (2.5 ounces), it features a 2-inch 176×220 pixel display which supports simple gestures. It comes with a miniSD slot, Bluetooth and a 2MP camera. It is powered by an open-source platform.
Neonode offers a Friends Zone where updates will be offered. It will also offer information on how to develop new applications. And, Neonode indicates that third party applications are also available (where is not clear though).
The Neonode N2 will be available in 3 colours. It should be available in Europe this spring.
