Touch Commander offers touch interface for Windows Mobile devices

Touch Commander is an application that promises to bring touch-based control to your Pocket PC device. Very similar to HTC’s TouchFLO (and to a lesser degree the iPhone interface), it works by recognizing and responding to the touch and sweep of a finger across the screen. With Touch Commander in place, you get a one-touch access to phone calls, emails, SMS messages, calendar, appointments, applications and other commonly used content.

Touch Commander runs on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices and requires the .NET Compact Framework 2.0.

The press release makes mention of smartphones but this will not work on Windows Mobile Standard devices which do not come with a touchscreen.

Touch Commander is available for US$14.95 directly from the web site set up by developer MobilityFlow.com. A trial version is also available.
