Up to 20 devices from Inventec in 2007

The Digitimes is reporting that Inventec is planning to release up to 20 new handsets, including up to 5 PDA phones, in 2007 with a focus on GSM/PHS and 3G/GSM dual-mode models. Both Windows Mobile and Linux will be used. Inventec also also plans to launch its first 3.5G PDA phone this year.

Inventec announced the Okwap S868, its first PDA phone, in Taiwan this week. Powered by Windows Mobile 5 and a Marvell XScale processor, this GSM/GPRS phone comes with a 2.4-inch display, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM, an SD card slot, a 2MP camera, Bluetooth,and an innovative virtual scroll wheel that uses the keypad.
