3G iPhone pictures and additional details just ahead of WWDC?

Apple

With only a couple of days to go before the WWDC keynote by Steve Jobs, CrunchGear has landed alleged pictures of the upcoming 3G iPhone. The pictures are apparently from an upcoming AT&T promotion featuring the new iPhone. They reveal a few details.

If true, they show that that the new iPhone comes with stereo speakers on the back and a new front-facing camera for video calls. The pictures also reveal both a black version and a (Product) Red version (in red obviously).

Crunchgear also reports that it is using the same size display as the current iPhone and that it is somewhat thinner but there is no side-by-side comparison with the current iPhone or real numbers to confirm that.

Not to be outdone, Engadget has landed some additional details about the 3G iPhone. According to a reliable source, the 3G iPhone ROM has been released and reveals that it will come with quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity and A-GPS.

Let’s hope all this gets confirmed in a couple days!
