Apple sells 200 million TV episodes on iTunes

Apple announced today that it had sold over 200 million TV episodes on its iTunes Store. More than 1 million of those are HD episodes which Apple launched on the iTunes Store only last month.

Apple also announced that all four major TV networks are now offering HD primetime programming. Among the shows offered are Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, CSI, Heroes and The Office to name but a few.

The iTunes Store sells TV episodes for USD$1.99 each in standard definition or USD$2.99 each in high definition. Many are also offered in complete season packages.
