HMV Canada has announced that it will begin to Bell Mobility mobile phones and service plans. As of yesterday, seven HMV locations in Toronto will carry Bell Mobility’s product line. Additional stores will start to offer them later this year.
As CD sales have dropped, HMV has been shifting its focus to other media, including film and video games, as well as electronics (For example, it already sells Apple iPods). At the same time, the agreement broadens the availability of Bell Mobility products to another national chain.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
