Back in late November, HTC CEO Peter Chou indicated that HTC was about to acquire a U.S. handset design company. Today, HTC made good on its promise and announced that it had acquired the California-based design firm One & Company Design, Inc. (One & Co).
Recognized for its award-winning work with some of the world’s best known and most design-savvy lifestyle brands, One & Co will maintain its name and client base while it joins forces with HTC to create an unparalleled force in global mobile design.
Collaboration between the two companies dates back to 2006 when One & Co helped HTC design the HTC Touch Diamond.
The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
