HTC expanding into new Asian markets

Jack Tong, vice president of HTC Asia Pacific, has announced that HTC will expand operations into a number of new countries. These include Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

Tong also expects that smartphone sales in India, Australia and Southeast Asian countries will continue to grow strongly in 2008. For example, sales in Australia are expected to double this year to about 100,000 units.
