DigiTimes is reporting that HTC is teaming up with Intel to make MIDs (mobile Internet device). The news is attributed to sources in the Taiwanese handset industry. Could HTC make use of the just announced Intel Atom processor and Atom Centrino platform?
HTC plans to incorporate handset functionality into this or these future devices.
HTC has already begun to diversify its device portfolio with devices like the HTC Advantage and the HTC Shift. An HTC MID would fit well into that growing family.
