According to the Chinese-language Commercial Times, HTC has raised its 2008 shipment projections for the recently announced HTC Touch Diamond. During a symposium in Tokyo, HTC CEO Peter Chou indicated that HTC is now expecting to sell up to three million HTC Diamond handsets this year, up from the initial projection of 2 million.
While the original HTC Touch took about 11 months to reach the three million sales target, Chou expects that the Touch Diamond will achieve the same milestone in about seven months.
