If you live in the U.S. and have been itching to buy an HTC Touch Diamond, you can now do so courtesy of CompUSA. No, HTC has not yet released the North American version of the HTC Touch Diamond. Instead, CompUSA is selling the model announced back in May which comes with tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band HSDPA/WCDMA (900/2100 MHz) connectivity. Lacking support for the 850/1900MHz HSDPA and 850MHz GSM bands means that it will not support 3G in North America.
If this is not an issue for you, CompUSA is offering the HTC Touch Diamond for USD$$779.99 (before taxes and shipping).
Personally, I will wait for HTC to release the North American variant expected a bit later this year.
