Starting today, Apple is now offering movies for sale and for rent both in Canada and the UK.
In Canada, over 1,200 films from studios such as 20th Century Fox, The Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Universal Studios Home Entertainment, and Maple Pictures are now available. Prices will range from CAD$9.99 to CAD$19.99 for purchase and from CAD$3.99 to CAD$4.99 for rentals. High-definition versions will rent for a dollar more.
In the UK, some 700 movies are now available. Prices will range from £6.99 to £10.99 for purchases and £2.49 to £3.49 for rentals. High-definition versions will cost one pound more.
iTunes movies can be downloaded and watched through iTunes on a computer or through the iPod classic, iPod nano with video, iPod touch and on a widescreen TV with Apple TV.
