Banners have started to go up around the Moscone Center in San Francisco in preparation for Macworld 2008 which kicks off Tuesday with the Steve Jobs keynote. Some read “There’s Something in the Air” and speculation is rampant around what it means.
One theory is that the banners refer to the MacBook Air, the name of a new 13.3-inch sub- or ultrathin notebook. But there are alternative theories as well. One suggests that WiMAX is coming to Apple products. Yet another suggests that we could hear about inductive charging (wireless charging).
According to AppleInsider sources, it does not refer to the MacBook tablet (described as a larger iPhone or iPod touch) which will not be announced at the show as the ongoing development still faces a number of technological hurdles to solve.
Whatever is in the air, check back here Tuesday for all the details.
