More details emerge on upcoming HTC Diamond and Raphael

HTC

Newly leaked HTC details seem to confirm that the recently spotted mysterious HTC device is in fact the Raphael, and apparently the HTC Mogul replacement. The HTC Diamond (an internal codename like Raphael rather than the final device name) is set to replace the HTC Touch. The two devices are apparently quite similar except that the Diamond will lack the QWERTY keyboard. Both are supposed to be headed to Sprint, making them CDMA devices.

According to the blurry specs that Engadget landed, both will come with a VGA display (2.8-inch?), 3MP camera, aGPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. They will run Windows Mobile (likely 6.1) and TouchFLO.

The Raphael should be released in September with the Diamond following in November.

While the Raphael and Diamond may be CDMA-based, it’s likely that we will see GSM versions either around the same time (May 6th perhaps?) or sometime after.
