Nokia E71 headed to Rogers Wireless

 Nokia E71

According to MobileSyrup.com, Rogers Wireless is set to offer the Nokia E71 in Canada, making it North America’s first carrier to announce the device. It had been originally intended for the Fido network but it looks like the parent company had a change of heart and decided to keep it for itself.

The Nokia E71 features quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band (850/1900MHz) connectivity, a 2.36-inch QVGA display up to 110MB free memory, a QWERTY thumb keyboard, integrated A-GPS (with Nokia Maps 2.0), 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, an FM radio with RDS support, a 3.2MP camera, and a microSD memory card slot. It is powered by S60 3.1 Edition, Eseries operating system. It comes with support for two home screens (eg, one for work and one for home).

Rogers has yet to announce specific availability dates and pricing (but expect it to fall in the CAD$500 range without contract).
