Pandora CTO Tom Conrad has confirmed that the music streaming company is working on a Windows Mobile client version of Pandora.
Two years ago, the company had begun development on Windows Mobile build of Pandora for the original Blackjack. But with only a small development team and the mobile carriers showing more interest in a J2ME version, Pandora put the project on the back burner. Conrad now indicates that Pandora has resumed development of the Windows Mobile client (after the successful launch of its iPhone client). As for when it will be released, Conrad is noncommittal:
Given my track record it’s probably best not to comment on the “when” but it’s certainly not a question of “if”.
Unfortunately, Pandora is only available in the U.S. at this time.
