Spb Online combines a number of online services into a Windows Mobile single application. Originally offered only to device manufacturers and carriers, it is now available to end users as well. It is available for a single fixed price fee and there are no subscriptions required. The included services are:
- A Mobile TV service with features like fast channel switching, on-screen controls, an integrated TV guide and more. For best performance, a reliable 3G, WiMax or WiFi network connection is required.
- Spb Online’s radio offers a large catalog of real-time streaming radio stations, an option to add custom URLs to the catalog and on-screen volume control.
- Online games (Checkers, Hexagon, and Reversi) that let you play against other players.
- A weather service that displays FORECA’s five-day forecasts with 10,000 cities to choose from and the ability to set up and scroll through up to 10 cities.
- A news service that comes with a catalog of over 500 channels, an offline reading mode, and full RSS and Atom support.
- An On-Device Catalog that lets you discover and buy additional content (programs, games, themes, and ringtones) directly from your device.
All the Spb Online services support adaptive skins, smart scrolling, 3D transition effects and one-hand navigation.
Spb Online is available for USD$29.95 in two versions from our affiliate Clickapps: One for Pocket PC devices our affiliate Clickapps and one for Smartphone devices. 15-day trial versions are also available.
