Variable pricing arrives on iTunes with HBO series

Apple

HBO and Apple announced that a number of HBO series are now available on iTunes. Series like The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Deadwood, and Rome are now available although only the first season is available for most (the exception is Sex and the City).

It looks like HBO has also succeeded where others have failed, namely in having variable pricing. For example, The Sopranos and Rome episodes cost USD$2.99 rather than the usual USD$1.99.

Note: The ‘More information’ link will launch iTunes.
