Verizon has started to deploy a firmware update for the BlackBerry Storm. The upgrade, dubbed BlackBerry Device Software v4.7 (updated 11/21/2008), is now available through the Desktop Software Manager and Web-based software. An over-the-air update for BIS users will follow starting later tonight.
I’ll update the post when I find specific details as to what the firmware contains.
Update: The new firmware addresses a number of issues reported by users, including performance lag times, instability issues and problems with voice-dialing.
