While details are slim, Amazon has confirmed that it is planning to launch the Kindle 2 internationally. An Amazon spokesperson told Register Hardware that Amazon has inked plans to sell the device outside of North America but could not provide specifics as to when, where, or how much it would cost.
Amazon launched the Kindle 2 earlier this week. Selling for US$359, it is expected to start shipping on February 24.
Hopefully, Amazon will have better luck with the Kindle 2 international plans than it did with its AmazonMP3 store. It took Amazon nearly a year to deploy its first international store after announcing its intentions.
