A day after announcing its latest iPod shuffle, Apple has released a new version of iTunes. Version 8.1 comes with:
- Support for the new iPod shuffle 3G
- The Genius sidebar is now available for movies and TV shows
- Improved performance (for downloads, large library management, iTunes Store browsing, and more) and accessibility improvements
- Importing CDs can be done at the same sound quality as iTunes Plus
- Allows iTunes U and the iTunes Store to be disabled separately using Parental Controls
- Security enhancements
Update: The Genius sidebar has not been activated for movies and TV shows. Apple will activate it at a later date.
