Apple tablet to be available before Christmas?

New rumours have surfaced that suggest that we may not have to wait until 2010 to see the Apple tablet. Instead, a report by the Chinese-language Taiwan Apple Daily suggests that the tablet could be available as early as September.

The tablet will reportedly be manufactured by Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. As with previous rumours, it is reported to be a device with a 10-inch display and integrated 3G.

A separate report by The Financial Times also suggests a late 2009 release date. An announcement could be made at the same time that Apple announces a new music album concept that includes an interactive booklet, sleeve notes and other interactive features along with the usual music downloads. The project, codenamed Cocktail, is being developed by Apple in conjunction with EMI, Sony Music, Warner Music and Universal Music Group.
