Rogers Wireless launches 21Mbps HSPA+ network in five cities

Back in July, Rogers Wireless had announced that it would deploy a HSPA+ network offering speeds up to 21Mbps. Today, Rogers announced today that its HSPA+ network is now available in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.

Rogers will offer a new 21 Mbps HSPA+ Rocket Mobile Internet Stick to allow customers to take advantage of the new speeds. It features a USB connection to a laptop or a desktop PC, easy installation with no CD required for Windows or Mac Operating Systems, integrated antenna for maximized reception performance and data transmission and multi-colour LED indicating connection status. It is now available for pre-order with pricing starting at CA$74.99 with a two-year data plan (minimum CA$25 monthly service fee). It will sell for CA$199.99 with no terms.

Rogers will expand its HSPA+ coverage to other Canadian cities over the next few months.
