TELUS HSPA network to launch in late October?

TELUS

If recent rumours are to be believed, TELUS is ahead of schedule to launch its HSPA network. TELUS, in partnership with Bell, had originally announced that it would launch a national HSPA network in early 2010. A soft launch looks to be set to begin in September to test the network in preparation for a full deployment later on.

Now comes word that if these tests go well, TELUS could turn on HSPA across the country by the end of October (just in time for the holidays and ahead of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver).

It’s not clear if Bell Mobility will align with this deployment plan but given that the two companies partnered up for this network, it makes sense that Bell would launch at the same time.
