A rumour out of Poland suggests that HTC could release an Android 2.1 upgrade for the HTC Hero as early as mid-February. Polish site Android.com.pl claims to have received this information directly from HTC Poland.
The update will apparently be offered across Europe around February 15th to 17th. There is no word on its availability in North America.
For Android 1.5-powered HTC Hero users, the update promises faster performance, a revamped HTC Sense interface and new widgets and applications.
