A new Sony Ericsson XPERIA smartphone has been revealed through a set of leaked pictures. The XPERIA X8 (codename Shakira) appears set to slot in between the smaller XPERIA X10 Mini and the larger XPERIA X10. The buttons on the front will be quite familiar to anyone who has seen the X10 devices.
Unfortunately, there are few specification details to go with the pictures. It looks like the XPERIA X8 will come with a 3-inch (or so) touchscreen and a camera with no flash. Presumably it will come with Google Android with the Sony Ericsson UX interface like the X10 devices.
There is no word yet on availability and pricing.
