If a new Digitimes report is to be believed, Apple will release three versions of the upcoming iPad 2. The three will differ in the connectivity options they offer: Wi-Fi only, UMTS/Wi-Fi and CDMA/Wi-Fi connectivity. Apple is also looking at improving the anti-smudge and anti-reflective treatments on the display.
Apple will reportedly ship between 500,000 and 530,000 units to channels in January with total 2011 shipments expected to reach 40 million units, giving Apple up to 75 percent of the global tablet PC market.
Earlier rumours suggested that the Apple iPad 2 will also feature minor changes to the form factor and improved speakers.
