As early as mid-November 2010, RIM suggested that the upcoming PlayBook would start under US$500. A leaked Office Depot document has given us tangible proof that this will come to pass. The document indicates that the 16GB Wi-Fi-only PlayBook will sell for US$499.
The leaked slide also suggests that the launch will take place in “week 17” which is the week of April 24th.
