Barnes & Noble to launch Nook Tablet for US$249 on November 16th?

Ahead of its launch next week, new details have been leaked about Barnes & Noble’s latest Nook device. While the new Nook Tablet will look very much like the Nook Color, there are a few improvements under the hood. Multimedia, including video, will take on a larger portion of the limelight with bundled Hulu Plus​ and Netflix apps and new music services.

The Nook Color will live on alongside the Nook Tablet. An update will add Hulu Plus and new music services. The Nook Simple Touch will also get an update promising improved page turning speed and font rendering.

The Nook Tablet looks set to start shipping on November 16th. It will sell for US$249. The price of the Nook Color will drop to US$199 and that of the Nook Simple Touch to US$99.
