With its UK announcement of the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy S II (model GT-I9100), Samsung has confirmed that it will come with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor as suggested by rumours last week. From the press release:
Samsung’s Galaxy S II runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and is super-fast thanks to its dual-core 1.2GHz processor.
The Samsung Galaxy S II will be available in the UK on May 1st. Much like its predecessor, it will be available “across all major networks and retailers.” There is no word yet on availability in North America.
