CTIA 2011: T-Mobile USA announces T-Mobile G2x with Google by LG

T-Mobile USA yesterday announced the T-Mobile G2x with Google by LG (henceforth called the T-Mobile G2x).

“More consumers than ever are turning to their smartphones to stay entertained wherever they are with access to their favorite video games, TV programs and more,” said Andrew Sherrard, senior vice president, marketing, T-Mobile USA. “By combining the latest innovative hardware and pre-loaded content with our 4G network and the power of the dual core processor, the G2x offers the mobile gaming and entertainment experience our customers crave.”

  • Processor: Dual-core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2
  • Operating system: Google Android 2.2
  • Cellular connectivity: GSM/GPRS/EDGE and AWS UMTS/HSPA+
  • Other connectivity: GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, DLNA
  • Display: 4-inch capacitive touch screen
  • Storage: 8GB onboard / microSD cards up to 32GB
  • Rear-facing camera: 8MP with LED flash, 1080p video capture, and auto-focus
  • Front-facing camera: 1.3MP
  • Connectors: 3.5mm headphone jack
  • Dimensions / weight: 12.4 x 6.35 x 1 centimeters / 142 grams
  • Other: FM radio

The T-Mobile G2x will be available “later this spring.” Pricing was not disclosed.
