Dell Inspiron Mini 9Netbooks which were one of the hottest device categories only a few years ago are now facing a challenging future in the face of competition from tablets and the emerging class of ultrabooks. Dell’s business-aimed Latitude netbooks are still available but it remains to be seen for how long. Dell’s Marketing Director Alison Gardner told The Verge that the company has a new strategy: “Thin and powerful is where it is at for us.” This suggests that Dell will be among the many companies expected to unveil ultrabooks at CES 2012 and beyond.
