Google Nexus S coming to Mobilicity

Google Nexus S

TheCellularGuru.com has learned that Mobilicity will soon offer (as early as March?) the Google Nexus S. The announcement was made by CEO Dave Dobbins at an event that took place last night.

Dobbins suggested that other Canadian carriers (including Bell, Rogers, and TELUS) will also soon offer the device but that only Mobilicity’s version will be unlocked and unaltered. At the very least, a second model supporting different bands will be required (Mobilicity and the current Nexus S are AWS-based) and it is possible that variants could be locked to individual carriers.

Dobbins also revealed that Mobilicity will continue to focus on Android devices. It has no immediate plans to offer tablets or Windows Phone 7 devices.
