The HP Pre 3 could see a change to its specifications before it hits the street. When announced in February, the specifications included a 1.4GHz single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The HP UK specification page now lists a “Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-CPU APQ8060 1.2GHz” processor instead.
There are signs though that this is nothing more than a typo (and/or shoddy proofing). First, the Qualcomm APQ8060 processor does not come with integrated cellular connectivity. Second, PreCentral.net has confirmed that a prerelease unit that they have does in fact come with a 1.4GHz single-core processor. Third, HP has yet to officially confirm the change.
A recently leaked webOS roadmap now puts the release of the Pre 3 at sometime in the fall rather than the summer as initially announced.
