Is the Nokia 710 another Windows Phone handset?

Only days away from Nokia World and the expected unveiling of Nokia’s first Windows Phone smartphone(s), a new model has surfaced courtesy of Nokia’s own developer website. A web page that allows the comparison of various Nokia devices temporarily showed the Nokia 710 along with its specifications. The operating system is listed as Maemo Internet Tablet 2008 but other details suggest it is very similar to the already leaked Nokia 703 (or Sabre?) Windows Phone handset.

Rumoured Nokia 710 specifications:

  • Processor: 1.4GHz Cortex A8
  • Display: 3.7-inch WVGA
  • Memory: 512MB RAM
  • Storage: 8GB internal
  • Rear-facing camera: 5MP camera with 720p video capture
  • Battery: 820mAh
  • Dimensions / weight: 119 x 62.4 x 12.48 millimeters / 125.5 grams

Nokia 710 revealed?

Aside from the operating system, a few other details such as the Symbian C++ mention don’t make much sense if this is to be a Windows Phone device. Could it just be an error or some filler material to prepare the entry before the announcement? We’ll hopefully know on October 26th when Nokia World kicks off.
