Nokia showed off a rather impressive flexible phone prototype at Nokia World. Called the “Nokia kinetic device,” it comes with a flexible display and an innovative interface. Gripped with two hands, it can be twisted in various directions to interact with it. Twisting it to allows it to scroll or bending inward or outward zooms in and out of photos or plays and pauses music. I’ll let the video describe it further:
While the prototype was fully functional, it does appear to be some time away from landing in our hands.
Could this replace today’s multitouch user interfaces?
