Public Mobile announces roaming to start March 14th

Public Mobile today announced that it will begin to offer Canadian roaming on March 14th. This will allow Public Mobile customers to use their phones outside of Public Mobile’s coverage area.

Our roaming works on a pay-per-use basis, so you will only be charged when you use the service. All you have to do is add money to your Public Mobile Wallet before leaving town and you’ll be able to complete local or long distance calls to anywhere in Canada and the U.S., as well as send and receive text messages.

Public Mobile roaming will cost CA$0.15 per minute for both incoming and outgoing calls. Outgoing text messages will be cost CA$0.15 and incoming ones will be free.

Public Mobile’s roaming area includes major cities in both Ontario and Quebec, as well as in Nova Scotia, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.
