One of the upcoming accessories for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is the Transformer Prime sleeve. Like the iPad 2 Smart Cover, it folds to become a tablet stand. An ASUS Taiwan video shows the sleeve in transforming action.
The ASUS sleeve lacks the magnetic clips of the iPad 2 Smart Cover and its tabs must instead be inserted into slots normally used by the keyboard dock. The sleeve folds into two possible configurations, one suitable for typing and another more upright one to watch videos. It just does not appear to be as intuitive as Apple’s solution.
The Transformer Prime Sleeve is expected to sell for US$39.
