WIND Mobile is the latest Canadian carrier to reveal how many customers it added in Q1 2011. With more than 39,000 new subscribers in the quarter, WIND Mobile is calling itself “the fastest growing wireless carrier in Canada.”
“The results are clear. The market is shifting. WIND is proving to be the competitive alternative for Canadians,” said Ken Campbell, CEO of WIND Mobile. “Our message of value and customer service is resonating with consumers and attracting them at an accelerating rate.”
WIND Mobile did not reveal its current total subscriber base. The last time it did so was back in January when it stood over 250,000 suggesting that it is nearing or may have even passed the 300,000 mark.
Without revealing any details, WIND Mobile also confirmed plans to expand its network coverage over the next year.
