Nokia has already confirmed that it will bring its PureView technology to future Windows Phone Lumia devices. In an interview with Howard Forums, Nokia USA President Chris Webber reconfirmed these plans without giving any timelines. The discussion occurs around the 4:00 minute mark in the interview below:
The interview covers a variety of other topics around Lumia devices and Windows Phone. Tantalizing is a reference to some “surprises or customer delighters” that Nokia will announce “in the short term” for the Lumia platform.
Microsoft has promised to offer a “sneak peek of the future of Windows Phone” at its Windows Phone Summit next week. Hopefully this means that Microsoft will give us its first glimpse at Windows Phone 8 (codename Apollo). Perhaps we’ll even see something about PureView and other Nokia contributions to Windows Phone.
