RIM now accepting BlackBerry 10 app submissions

Research In MotionResearch In Motion today announced that it has begun to accept app submissions for BlackBerry 10 devices.

This means that apps submitted to the store starting today, October 10, are guaranteed to be reviewed, tested and ready for publishing when BlackBerry 10 launches in Q1 2013. This is a huge opportunity to be the first into the store and capitalize on app-hungry BlackBerry users.

Developers are now able to target their applications to both the BlackBerry 10 Family and more precisely to the “All Touch” device when creating a new release in the BlackBerry App World Vendor Portal. The BlackBerry 10 Dev Alpha is also still available for targeting for testing purposes.

As an additional thank you to developers, apps submitted in October and November could be given preferred carousel placement on BlackBerry World at launch. They will also qualify for the 10k Developer Commitment (first announced back in May) once certified.
