TELUS is expected to launch its LTE network sometime this quarter. The carrier has already announced the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE. Now, a leaked training document obtained by MobileSyrup is now shedding light on the pricing strategy TELUS may use.
It appears that TELUS will support its faster network with its current plans. The leaked document states that
“TELUS customers on TELUS’ 4G or 4G LTE networks will continue to use existing TELUS data rate plans. TELUS is not introducing a premium 4G LTE-only rate plan. We believe our customers want a simple data rate plan solution that does not charge them more just because they are in a 4G LTE zone or differentiate between types of devices.”
TELUS is the last of big three Canadian carriers to launch its LTE network. Rogers launched its LTE network in the summer (first in Ottawa) and Bell followed suit in the fall.
