Toshiba promises thinnest and lightest 10.1 Android tablet for CES

A press release by Toshiba Japan has given us a few clues as to what the manufacturer is bringing to CES next week. Among other products, it promises “the world’s thinnest and lightest” 10.1-inch tablet and 13.3-inch ultrabook.

The tablet is likely none other than the AT200 which it announced back in September at IFA 2011. Measuring just 7.7 millimeters, it is 1 millimeter thinner than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Toshiba will also have on display a waterproof tablet with an OLED display and wireless charging capabilities.

Meanwhile, pictures have leaked of what is described as an affordable 7-inch tablet from Toshiba. It’s not clear if these show the new waterproof tablet or yet another tablet. It will reportedly be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm processor, WSVGA display (1,24×600)
