Apple schedules iOS 7 Tech Talks in six cities

2013 Apple iOS 7 Tech Talks

With iOS 7 now out (and already installed on some 200 million iOS devices), Apple today announced that it will hold Tech Talk events in October and November to give developers a deeper look at the new version of its mobile operating system.

Get in-depth guidance about developing for iOS 7, learn practical coding tips and tricks, and obtain valuable one-on-one programming and design assistance in our lab. Choose which day is best for you — app developer day or game developer day.

Two tech talks are planned: App Developer Day will focus on the new multitasking APIs, dynamic motion, iBeacon, and much more while Game Developer Day will revolve around Sprite Kit, OpenGL ES, Game Controllers, and Game Center.

The events will take place in six cities: San Francisco, New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin and London between October and December. Sadly, it does not appear that Apple will make it to Canada. Full agendas for both days have been posted.

If you decide to go to the free event, you don’t have much time to register: Submissions will be accepted until Friday, September 27, 2013 at 1000 PT. They are only open to current iOS Developer Program or iOS Developer Enterprise Program members who are at least 13 years old. Only one event can be attended. Attendees will be randomly selected from qualified applicants.
