Moto X press images and benchmarks leaked

Rumoured Moto X press shots

It feels a bit like all Moto X all the time here at EyeOnMobility at the moment. Following the press invitation for the August 1st event and new details about the upcoming smartphone, @evleaks has shared press shots of the Moto X (or moto x according to the invitation).

If nothing else, the images confirm the previously leaked images that we have seen pop up.

The Moto X is expected to come with a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960T, a “near stock” version of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 4.5-inch to 4.7-inch HD (720×1280) display, 2GB of RAM and a 10MP camera. While it may only boast mid-range specifications, the Moto X is expected to come with a number of innovative features on the software side, including an always-on listening mode that responds to the prompt “Ok Google Now” much like we’ve seen on Google Glass.

Separately, AndroidPolice‘s tweet of an AnTuTu benchmark effectively confirms the processor and resolution details:

It also reveals that the device was codenamed Ghost during development.

The Moto X is expected to launch at the end of August with several U.S. carriers. It will likely be an exclusive through Rogers Wireless in Canada.
