Motorola launches Moto X registration page

Moto X registration page

Following the launch of its teaser campaign for the upcoming Moto X smartphone, Motorola today launched a registration page where people can “sign up and we’ll let you know about what else we’re up to.”

The page picks up on the “Designed by you” and “Assembled in the USA” taglines from the ad and again promises a smartphone that people will be able to customize:

The first smartphone designed, engineered and assembled in the USA is coming.

It’s also the first smartphone that you can design yourself. Because today you should have the freedom to design the things in your life to be as unique as you are.

And this is just the beginning. By the end of the summer we expect there to be more than 2000 new employees in Ft. Worth, TX working to make all of this possible. Imagine what else you can do when you have the world’s best design, engineering and manufacturing talent located here in the USA.

The page’s file name suggests that this is a US centric promotion. The page does not appear on Motorola Canada’s website at this point. Perhaps a separate campaign will kick off here a bit later.

Motorola is expected to launch the Moto X in the fall timeframe. With the marketing now ramping up, could it be announced sooner?
