Samsung Galaxy S4 with Snapdragon 800 to go global?

Rumoured AnTuTu benchmark results for Galaxy S4 I9506

Samsung may be readying another Galaxy S4 variant. Currently available with either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 in the North American model or Samsung Exynos 5 processor in the international one, a third model could soon be on the way. The new one, identified as the I9506, would use a similar Snapdragon 800 processor to the one found in the Galaxy S4 LTE-A which is currently only available in Korea.

The I9506 was discovered in some AnTuTu benchmark results which compare it to the current models. Conjecture suggests that this could be an international variant of the LTE-A model for carriers not offering LTE-A yet. Results show a device with significantly faster performance (even better than that of the LTE-A model).

While other details are slim, the I9506 was powered by Google Android 4.2.2 and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 with an Adreno 330 GPU during its tests.

It remains to be seen if, when and where the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9506 will see the light of day.

Would you trade in your current S4 for the faster one? Or are you more likely to be upset with Samsung should it release this faster model so quickly? Let us know below.
