Sony inadvertently shows Xperia Z1s on global website

Rumoured Sony Xperia Z1sThe still-to-be announced Sony Xperia Z1s has been spotted again. This time, it appears that Sony Mobile itself may have inadvertently leaked the device as it briefly showed up on its global website before the mistake was caught.

The Sony Xperia Z1s is expected to be an international variant of the  Xperia Z1 f which was announced for Japan in October. The S in the model name could stand for ‘small’ as it appears that Sony will stay away from the mini branding used by some of its competitors (HTC and Samsung among them) in some (and perhaps all) markets where it plans to offer it.

Should the Xperia Z1s indeed be a variant of the Xperia Z1 f, we can expect that it will come with very similar specifications, themselves close to those of the larger Xperia Z1 except for a smaller 4.3-inch HD (720×1280) display and a 2,300mAh battery. Still on board are expected to be a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and the 20.7MP rear camera with 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor and G-Lens.

An earlier image showed that Sony moved both the front-facing camera and audio jack slightly on this model for a yet to be explained reason.

Unfortunately, the listing revealed no information about availability and pricing.
