TELUS expands LTE coverage to Orillia, ON and Labrador City, NL

TELUS

The TELUS LTE network is a little bit bigger today than it was just yesterday. The carrier announced this morning that LTE coverage now includes both Labrador City in Labrador and Orillia in Ontario. Customers in these communities can now expect average download speeds of between 12 to 25Mbps and peak download speeds of up to 75Mbps.

As in other areas, should a customer move outside of the LTE network coverage area, they will seamlessly fall back to TELUS’ HSPA network.

TELUS now offers a wide range of LTE-enabled smartphones ranging from the BlackBerry Z30 and Nokia Lumia 1020 to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and HTC One among many others. TELUS offers other devices, including tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE and data sticks like the Huawei E397 4G LTE Mobile Internet Key.

The TELUS LTE network now covers almost 80 per cent of Canada’s population across approximately 200 markets.
